As of January 2025 , the average house price across Greater London is £646,719 using HM Land Registry data*.

The average property price increased by £104,930 (16.3%) over the last 5 years and increased by £21,019 (2.89%) over the last 12 months.

Over the last year, there were 61,710 residential property sales** across London – a decrease of 13,883 transactions (-22.5%) relative to the previous year. The majority of house sales (21,808) were in the £290,000£466,000 range. Then came properties in the £466,000£642,000 range, where 18,353 were sold within this price bracket.

Excluding fall throughs, properties throughout Greater London are taking an average of 179 days to sell (from being listed to completion) and the average difference between asking and sold prices is £-29,485 (-2%).
